New Article/Podcast:
Healthy Ways to Overcome Stress and Anxiety During a Pandemic
This week on the ReDefine: RVA Coaches and Coffee Podcast, Ben and Demetrius dove into what it’s been like adjusting to a new life during this pandemic. Starting with our training studio temporarily closing its doors voluntarily, to the mandated stay-in-place order from the Governor, our lives have changed a lot. Speaking with our clients, so have theirs.

Coach Ben and Demetrius recorded a podcast this week going over some of the things that they’ve done to handle their anxiety and stress during this pandemic. We’d loved it if you took a moment to listen and shared your feedback and the steps you’ve personally chosen to gain some control during this pandemic. Link to Podcast here.
We’ve received great feedback about the Online Training Programs, Virtual Group Training, and 1-to-1 Virtual Training. But even with that, we’re still continually meeting, working, and brainstorming ideas to identify ways to give you all as much value as we can during this time. Right now, we’ve added a new time slot to Virtual Group Training; Saturday’s at 9:00 am!
We’re holding steady and very appreciative of all the support we have received. We are here for you, so please take advantage of the coaching calls and the virtual training opportunities.
We miss you all and will be sending out more updates soon.

With the escalation of the virus, we are projecting to remain closed until confirmation that it is safe to have more than ten people a single space. We have spent all week working on ways to continue to provide the best service to you during this time, below is what we’ll be putting in place starting next week.
Virtual Training (Zoom app)
Semi-Private: We’ve decided to take our semi-private sessions into the virtual realm. They will be structured like group training classes and will be done via Zoom (a video conferencing app that requires you to call in). These will run on a schedule as follows:
- Monday through Friday at 7 am, 12 pm, and 5:30 pm.
1-on-1’s: Your coaches will be offering to train you virtually. These will held via Zoom.
Online Training
Personalized programming will continue to be offered to ALL clients that are either looking for something geared more towards what available equipment they have and to those that would rather do something on their own time.
Coaching Calls
To give you some extra accountability, help on how to you can make the most of this situation, chat about how to stay on track, or just because you miss us, we’ll be offering coaching calls.
Online Yoga
As previously arranged, we will be welcoming Alex Dull for a free online yoga session for all members (and any friends) on Sunday 3/22 at 8 am. This will also be done via Zoom.
Equipment rental
We will be offering all members the option to rent out 1 piece of equipment. Up for grabs will be kettlebells and dumbbells of varying sizes. We will make our best effort to match you with equipment based on strength and availability appropriately. If you are interested, please respond to this email. We’ll also be sending a follow-up email about pick up/payment.

As a small business, we love and appreciate your business and continued support through this tough time.
As leaders in the health and wellness sector of our community in RVA, we have come to the decision that we should preemptively close our studio until further notice.
This was a very difficult decision for us to make, especially as it relates to our business, but the livelihood of our community, members, and everyone we affect must be put first. In that sense, it was an easy decision.
Again, thank you so much for your support in these times. As a result of the closing, we as a team at ReDefine:RVA will be using the time to do the following:
- Several deep cleans of the entire studio space
- Reviewing and improving training programs through discussion and debate
- Providing continuing education and training to our staff
- Work on creating a service menu for virtual training (i.e. through video calls/zoom)
All of these things will be done in order to continue to offer you the best service possible for when things calm down and return to normal.
Please don’t hesitate to reach out to us with ANY questions you may have regarding our studio.
